Art's Delicatessen & Restaurant

A community fixture, Art’s has been supplying Studio City with pastrami and “I Want It All” chicken soup since 1957. The maze of camel-colored booths buzzes with families and industry types who really do seem to want it all: heavy, homey Jewish-American classics like short ribs in the pot and light California choices like grilled chicken and vegetable salads. For all the variety, portion size remains constant: the triple-decker sandwich and five high chocolate cake attest to Art’s art of the oversized. Though it strives to be all things to all people, Art’s remains Yiddish at heart (ask to see the creatively translated “Dictionary of Basic Yiddish”). Come with your mishpochen for kreplach—it’ll be a simcheh.
