The menu eschews processed flour and sugars, incorporating alternative grains like quinoa and organic sweeteners. Despite the guiltless preparations, flavor triumphs. The Create-A-Plate allows diners to choose a protein and a variety of zingy vegetable sides including organic gingered carrots, green beans and shallots, or roasted yams and sweet potatoes. At breakfast, cinnamon swirl French toast and the Pasta Mama, made with organic eggs, are in high demand (especially on weekend days, when the place is so packed that they don’t even take reservations).
