About
It’s difficult to decide what steals the scene most at Asia de Cuba: the breathtaking view from downtown to the beach, the inspired collision of Cuban and Asian cuisines, or the beautiful industry types who flock here in droves on weekends. The setting is pretty stunning, too. Inside, the placid white-on-white interior is Cuban plantation meets Philippe Starck modern. Outside on the patio, shade yourself in an arbor of trees planted in pots so gigantic you’ll feel like a shrunken Alice in Wonderland. It’s a complete escape from the high-energy madness on this stretch of Sunset, which also boasts scene-worthy restaurants BOA at the Grafton and Katana as well as entertainment hubs House of Blues and The Comedy Store. Tuck into a plate of char sui beef short ribs or a calamari salad, sip on a Seven Year Mojito (made with seven-year-old rum), and lose yourself in the lights of the city.
TIPS: Any table near the window is highly sought after. Dishes are served family style, intended to be shared.
