A no-frills Israeli restaurant, almost every item on the menu at Amer’s Falafel is under $10, and the authentic food it dishes up seven days a week fills the space with a delectable scent. All main dishes come with rice or a green salad along with two side dishes – meaning you won’t leave hungry. Open for over 20 years, Amer’s Falafel has even put a spin on some classic American dishes, such as a Hot Dog in a Pita and a Pita Burger (surprisingly, these are almost as popular as the Israeli dishes). The 16 salads on the menu come in various sizes, from the equivalent of a starving actress portion to the truck-driver helping. Can’t decide what to order? The mixed grill includes chicken, lamb, and beef. Wash it down with baklava or Bavarian cream desserts.
