About
Alejo’s is further proof that some of the best restaurants in Los Angeles are hidden within non-descript strip malls on busy street corners. Its extremely garlicky cuisine is a godsend in an otherwise bland section of Marina Del Rey. Don’t bother trying to park in the lot out front—it’s seemingly always full. Better to cruise down the street behind the restaurant where you can find a spot on the street. The alcohol policy is BYOB, but a 7-Eleven in the same strip mall can satisfy most of your beer and wine needs. Because the outside looks a little scary, most of the customers are locals who are wise to the delicious, traditional Italian food served inside. Portions are large, so plan on bringing some home. Alejo’s isn’t especially a pizza joint, but the pizza is outstanding and worth a try.
