About
Located in the original digs of Govind Armstrong's famed Table 8 restaurant (which moved down the street), this gourmet hamburger restaurant has less flash than its predecessor but is considered equal in the quality of its food. For his latest venture Armstrong sought to create a more casual vibe and create the kind of food that all Americans like to eat (there are turkey and veggie patties available in addition to the juicy beef ones). These may be burgers but that doesn't mean that they aren't classy. Extras like red onion marmalade, fried green tomatoes and wild baby arugula are available as are sauces such as purple mustard and fried caper tartar sauce. You can also choose from a variety of cheeses including Humboldt fog, boucheron and bel paese.
Shortrib grilled cheese sandwiches, tuna melts and spicy meatball mini-subs are also on the menu. As are a variety of specialty beers, which can be ordered as beer floats with ice cream in the glass.
