"Amazing performance (Ignore the Naysayers)"

I wondered at first how good this younger Divine Performing Arts International Company would be as before I'd seen the older New York Divine Performing Arts Company for the Holiday Wonders show in New York. In the end, I really appreciated the youthful energy that this group brought.

I wouldn't give much attention to the few people here who gave the really bad reviews. You got to wonder if they were paid off by the Chinese Communist Party when they are the only few people saying anything bad about the show while places like the Chicago Tribune and MSNBC raved about it.

So what if the show has a spiritual message? So does the The Nutcracker and that doesn't stop me from seeing it.

Anyway, I loved all the traditional performances, each with colorful costumes, and stunning 3-d backdrops that integrated into the show.

Surprisingly, though, my favorite performance was the singing of Tenor Yuan Qu. It was so moving. They displayed the words on backdrop but even if they didn't, I wouldn't have cared, just like opera. It was the power of his voice that opened my heart.
