If you are considering laser hair removal, stay away from American Laser Center (ALC) regardless of how good the deal sounds. This compnay is known for tricking consumers into visiting their office by offering $300 certificate toward laser treatment, but once they get you in, they try and sell you a package deal. Not only are ALC’s business tactics questionable, their staff is unprofessional. They have a high turn over rate so you get a new nurse each time and for the most part they have no idea what they are doing. They can’t use the computer or get the settings right on the laser. They require you to shave before each session and photograph you to track the progress. How ridiculous is it to photograph an area that was shaved just a day earlier. I thought it was just the Ontario, CA location until I did some research on ALC and found so many others whose experience has been identical to mine.

I purchased a package deal from ALC in Ontario, CA to have my underarms and bikini lasered. I have light skin and dark hair in the areas being treated which makes is the best candidate for laser hair removal according to ALC and other places I’ve talked to. It’s been two years (about 12 sessions) and I have seen no reduction in hair growth. The sales manager told me that most people require 6 sessions but warned me that results vary and that it may take at most 12 sessions if your body is unresponsive. Well it’s been 12 sessions and I am no where to being done. I have complained to every person in that office, all they tell you is to continue with the sessions until you see results. They refused my request for a refund. I am not looking for a lawsuit, but don’t want to waste anymore time at this place.

My suggestions to anyone researching this: DO NOT GO TO AMERICAN LASER CENTERS. IT IS UNETHICAL WHAT THEY GET AWAY WITH.
