The Ivy
"Ivy League Looky Loos"

Ah, the Ivy. The name reminds me of Lake view Terrace—no lake, no view, no terrace. But I digress. The lack of Ivy is a good thing, as this place is crawling up the walls with people—a packed house surrounded by a quaint picket fence. The food is fresh and made with high-end ingredients—right down to that iced tea with a perfect three leaf sprig of mint swimming in it. Where else can you get lobster for lunch three different very special ways to be recited by a doting wait staff. Too decadent? Please! It is expected here. Don’t go for a nice cheap appetizer and a glass of vino. Go to feel like a skinny rehab refreshed celebrity not eat like one. Order the specials (and the favorites fried chicken, corn chowder) and don’t forget to order dessert! The key lime pie was a fluffy white cloud of heavenly calorie consumption, but I can’t say it is the best until I try them all…
