Jordana Spiro's best of L.A.
The star of "My Boys" plays a Chicago sportswriter P.J. Franklin on the TBS sitcom. The unmarried L.A. resident says "I do have a lot of male friends like my character, and I'd rather go camping than have a spa weekend. But I'm a little more girlie than P.J."
I always end up dancing here, which for me is just jumping up and down.
I go here on Friday nights. It's always crowded and super casual. Their patio is in the parking lot. I go with a bunch of friends and we look at the pictures on the menu and point like monkeys and hope for the best.
I love the back patio--a beautiful oasis, perfect for a nightcap.
My favorite breakfast spot. If I'm being good I have fruit and granola. If I'm being bad, the waffles. It all depends on what dress I need to get into the next day.
"I like to browse around here. I saw a great exhibition by Erwin Redl--art made from lighting fixtures."
If I'm feeling upscale I'll go here for dinner. Great view and some interesting tastes in the food--like goat cheese ice cream!
A couple of guys on the show--Jamie Kaler and Mike Burton--perform here a lot. I also like Acme Comedy Theater.
I like breakfast here, right where the boardwalk gets really, well, colorful. I'd have an omelet or their great cornmeal pancakes.
