The Nothing Boys
"The Nothing Boys, Nothing But Soul"

As I left the East theatre I heard a young man say, "I don't even like plays...and I loved that." Here is a play for a new generation of play goers. Every some odd years, a new story comes along that encapsulates the struggle of what it means to be human. Suburbia, a Gen-X, play that has been a capsule of time well thought out and conveyed, would be a good example of how a modern play can
be timeless. Such is the case with Greg Siff's new comedy, The Nothing Boys. Based on a true event of Siff's homecoming to his ten year high-school reunion, where he found himself and one other student to be the only who cared enough to be there.
The show, quite witty and sharp with it's colloquial Long Island humor, is one of heart and shine. I highly recommend this show to anyone looking to see where theatre is headed when writers stop worrying about what the world will love, and begin thinking with their heart first.
