Afternoon tea isn’t just for stuffy old ladies in pillbox hats. If brunch spots are booked on Mother's Day, try taking mom to one of these fine tea establishments (some, however, do require reservations in advance).
Afternoon tea is served all day at this location and Chado’s Pasadena branch. Reservations are required for the four seatings, which are $18 per person.

Afternoon tea is served every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. You may not be able to enjoy it on Mother’s Day but Clementine’s menu of sandwiches, scones and desserts is a good reason to hang with mom again.
