This gourmet donut shop uses high-end ingredients like French and Swiss chocolate, real fruit fillingsand Madagascar & Tahitian vanillas, and you can definitely taste the difference. Order into one of their blueberry glazed donuts and not only will you see flecks of blueberry in the almost translucent icing, it will taste like you're biting into fresh blueberries. Among the standard flavors, all of which are excellent, some real standouts are: the creamy peanut butter & strawberry filled, the banana fritter, the latte glaze, the poppyseed cake with lemon glaze and the praline crunch and the maple bars. Frittelli's donuts are more expensive than the fare at most donut shops, but they'd be worth it at twice the price.
These aint no cupcakes-from-a-box. These miniature gourmet cakes come in over 20 flavors, are made from high class ingredients and are topped with sassy modern dots. Some of the unique flavors incldue chai latte, ginger lemon, peanut butter chip, red velvet and banana. On weekends, you'll often see a line of cupcake fanatics snaking out the door. That's how much people love Sprinkles.

It looks like Sprinkles has competition.This New York chain of bake shops opened its first L.A. outpost in (where else?) Beverly Hills in August 2007. Specializing in gigantic cupcakes, they offer unique flavors topped with rainbow-colored candy.
