About
In "The Arianne MacBean Ballets [revisited]," dancer-choreographer Arianne MacBean (pictured, on the left) explores the notion that no one is the ultimate "owner" of a dance. The choreographer, the dancers, the audience members and even the dance critic are all "implicated in [its] existence," she says. To illustrate the point, she'll distribute to the audience T-shirts printed with the names of those who have influenced her work -- from famous dance icons to the person sitting next to you (yes, she's plucking names from the reservation list).
