About
Based on actual interviews with the elderly, this sincerely-intended but reductive new musical about a middle-aged daughter saddled with the care of her failing father tackles elder-care issues before getting badly sidetracked into a World War II docudrama of sorts, complete with monologues from a death camp survivor, a ball turret gunner, a Hiroshima survivor and a Nuremberg translator — splitting the narrative into disparate halves that never reconnect.
