Magicopolis

The only venue of its kind on the Westside, Magicopolis appeals to all ages with shows that are clean, fun, and well, magical. Taking magic out of the tried-and-true realm of slick guys in tuxes sawing beautiful assistants in half, the shows here are whimsical, daring and amazing in ways that take prestidigitation into the 21st Century. The club features a two hundred-person theater, a wine and beer bar, and a dining area reserved for catered events and private parties. Hosted by magician Steve Spill and his wife Bozena, the $27 two-hour evening show takes place every Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., while the discounted 90-minute matinee shows occur every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Family fare at affordable prices is available at the Third St. Promenade’s Café Crepe, serving a plethora of sandiwiches, salads, sweet, and yes, crepes.

Tips: Saturday can be a big day at Magicopolis for birthday parties, so be wary if you're planning on visiting between the hours of 2 and 4.
