Recently renovated by Insight America, the classically-minded touring company which calls it home, this corner spot has been reconfigured to make space for a full cafe (open for soups, sandwiches, and mocha lattes independent of production schedules) and a breezy patio deck. Inside, the black-box theater seats no more than 70 and has no permanent stage, making it a particularly intimate performance space. In between plays, Insight's artistic director Alan Becker tries to keep things lively with readings, classes, and late night shows of all varieties.
Conveniently located just across the street from the Hyperion Tavern, it's also just a short walk to Zen Sushi.
