A red-hot celebrity, talented but insecure, turns fantastically self-destructive. In Jeffrey Hatcher's play, this ripped-from-the tabloids tale takes place in 1660s London when Edward Kynaston, a stage actor specializing in women's roles, finds himself suddenly out of fashion. The new Rogue Machine collective stages the story with style, but frustratingly, the script doesn't deliver on the situation's potential.
