About
This revival of the Actors' Gang's 2006 production is a cold blast of political theater featuring a fascinatingly groggy performance by Cameron Dye as George Orwell's dissident protagonist. As a director, Tim Robbins doesn't leave room for moral ambiguity — either you agree with him or you agree with him. The pump-up-the-volume aesthetic can be too much at times, but this is activist theater in the grandest sense of the term.
