Best Burgers in LA

Know something we don't?
Despite the perky clock with the pie face that greets customers in the entryway, time seems to stand still at the Pie ‘n Burger, where the ancient cash register, Formica counter, and even some of the waitresses have remained the same for over 40 years. The menu has been pretty static, too, the only additions to the original menu being the vegetarian burger, fresh fruit, and cereal at breakfast. Otherwise, diner favorites including classic burgers, chicken pot pie, grilled cheese, and pancakes have endured through the decades. Most of the seating is at the counter, where wooden swivel stools with curved backs face the grill. The ice cream shakes are tempting, but you can’t leave Pie ‘n Burger without a slice of pie (the baker hasn’t changed since 1971): strawberry, banana, coconut, and boysenberry remain the most popular selections.
