About
A romantically lit, retro-themed cocktail lounge parked on a quiet stretch of Burbank Blvd. in bohemian North Hollywood, the Good Nite boasts all the accoutrement one might expect from a fashionable watering hole: There’s the shiny stainless steel bar, the art deco sconces and damask wallpaper, the black leather bar stools, couches and cube chairs. Then, of course, there’s the stripper pole, the bar's shiny brass excuse for even buttoned-up patrons to get a little crazy. And crazy they get on weekends and Karaoke Sundays in particular when No1 Betta Entertainment provides an eclectic assortment of tunes plus music videos to sing along with.
The Good Nite's patrons—a surprisingly heterogenous mix of nattily attired club-goers and bohemian types that span every alternative style from retro-rockabilly to punk to goth-rocker to metal-head—provide lots of entertainment themselves. But the staff may deserve the blue ribbon. Uniformly friendly, the bartenders not only serve drinks with a smile, they breathe fire. It's a neat trick that regularly answers the question, "What happened to all the Bacardi 151?"
