The Twins' slinky, creepy 'Whisper Song' made you ensure you never left your drink unattended at the club, but the duo's bawdy, misogynist post-crunk was a defining sound of the early '00s. Subsequent singles found them trying on new sonics, but for a gender-studies treatise, their brand of minimalist snap and maximalist club-rap is hard to beat for source material.
