About
One of The Fold's small stable of hipsterati venues, Silverlake Lounge has hosted the starter shows of some of L.A.'s most popular indie-rock bands (along with scads of more forgettable ones). Small and without frills (save the glowing "Salvation" sign behind the stage), it's all about the music, which ranges from rock to singer-songwriter stylings to alt-country to experimentalists. It's in a prime location for further nightlife exploits in Silver Lake, like dinner at Pho Cafe across the street or nearby Alegria. Parking's annoying, but try the neighborhood just east of Silverlake Blvd. north of the Sunset bridge. And if you want to keep partying after your set, you can engage in a now immortal Silversun Pickup at the eponymous liquor store nearby.
