About
The 1990s were the last time when a man could be both an indie rocker and still crack beers with his teeth. But deep voices, gnarled guitars and withering discontent never go out of style, and the Gutter Twins, a new project from noted 20th century rogues Mark Lanegan and Greg Dulli, aims to reinstate them. Barrel-lunged Lanegan has become alt-rock's T-Pain (a cred-making and instantly recognizable guest vocalist), and when paired with Dulli's wounded misanthropy and new ear for sonic experiments, the two make today's sniveling folkies and preppie Afro-pop boys shake in their vintage Chuck Taylors.
