The two biggest names at Sunday’s Download Festival enjoyed their heydays before “download” was even a word. The Jesus & Mary Chain and Gang of Four top the bill at Live Nation’s two-stage blowout, which also welcomes relative newcomers such as Brand New, Mutemath, Yeasayer, M83 and the Duke Spirit. The downloadable pickins’ are pretty slim on the festival’s website, sure, but who needs digital when you already have the “Crystal Days” boxed set?
