Many undoubtedly dismiss this little yellow façade as just another place to score some nachos, a burrito and a Corona. But in reality, this is one of the most rewarding Mexican eateries in Los Angeles. The kitchen turns out a brand of Mexico City homestyle cooking that gives one a fresh new perspective on Mexican cuisine. Popular entrees include pork chops in pasilla chile sauce, chicken in mole or mole verde, and a soul-warming specialty called chiles en nogada, featuring plump poblano chiles stuffed with ground beef, pine nuts and dried fruit, topped with a white wine-cream sauce.
