Inside this hidden gem, the walls are painted with romantic scenes of Venetian canals creating an effect that feels as though you've been teleported back to a 1970s lounge. Big signs advertise the $4.50 shrimp cocktail and the $13.50 cook-it-yourself steak dinner, which includes a salad and a baked potato. It can be a bit seedy in the daytime, but the aura of decaying glamour never completely fades. And on weekend evenings, a enthusiastic slew of regulars packs the bar for karaoke. Be forewarned, if there are no customers, they’ll close the bar early.
