Know something we don't?
Formerly Bodega de Cordova, Sheddy's aims to fill a badly needed void in the Fairfax district for a decent wine bar. Opened by Vancouver native Jim Sheddy, the narrow pub-like destination will offer up multiple exotic reds from all over the world. Mr. Sheddy also spent years in London, and will serve up frothy ales at Sheddy's as well (Murphy's Stout and Maudite are just two of the on tap selections).
Over 20 different beers from countries like India and Germany are available here as well by the bottle. Although Sheddy's is dark inside (with wood and dark red hues seemingly everywhere), the real action here this summer will likely be out back in the smoking patio (pictured above) where the conversation is likely to be as warm and inviting as the weather.
A selection of imported cheese will soon be available at Sheddy's as well for those who just can't resist something to much on with their vino or cold ale. Parking is readily available here in the back alley after 6 p.m., or try your luck at a meter (they are also free after six) on Fairfax.
