Know something we don't?
If you’re looking for a bit of Paris in Los Feliz snag a rattan chair at one of Figaro’s outdoor tables and you just might be transported. This chic spot on Vermont captures the look and feel of a real brasserie, with a dark wood interior, tile floors and romantic chandeliers. The menu features traditional French fare with all-organic ingredients, including steak frites, mussels, crepes, garlicky escargot and Nicoise salad. Organic options come with a price tag though, which might explain the high prices – think $25 an entree. Of course, you could just order an espresso and a chocolate croissant and soak up the eminently enjoyable street scene. The service can be slow and offish, but if that’s not authentically French, then what is?
TIPS: Be sure to check out the little bakery inside that sells tasty brioche, pastries and bread to go. After a leisurely brunch be sure to wander down the street to browse the racks at independently owned Skylight books.
