Times Description

The second-fiddle of L.A.'s two major outdoor live venues, the Greek nonetheless is one of the most idyllic places to catch a set from larger theater acts. Snug inside Griffith Park, everything about getting to and leaving the theater is a massive pain, but once inside, the sound and sight lines, not to mention the leafy ambience, are superb. Fresh-scrubbed rockers-made-good like Modest Mouse and Damien Rice jockey with the radio stars of yesteryear for stage time, and though it's only really nustling part of teh year, it's still one of L.A.'s best evenings out. Grab a picnic at Trader Joe's or dinner at Green Leaves or Electric Lotus beforehand, and bring cash for parking as you'll trek for miles uphill if you don't.
