Fro-Yo Frenzy: Class of 2008

Know something we don't?
Formerly Snowberry (aka Mr. Snowberry, r.i.p.), Berry Nutty opened in May of 2008 with a new concept. The small store in a K-town strip mall is now self-serve (.30 per ounce), with around eight rotating flavors of creamy yogurt to choose from (when we stopped by this week we tried the strawberry and peach). Berry Nutty hopes to set itself apart from the pack of Pinkberry imitators by offering something called "Rafa-L" in all of its "all natural non-fat" yogurts.
Press materials describe "Rafa-L" as a "miraculous and mysterious" mix of minerals that is "life saving." You mean we can eat tasty yogurt with toppings and it will save our life? Sign us up, please!
The one drawback of the new location is limited seating options. This is more of a "grab and go" type of frozen yogurt joint. No lingering here, kids.
A Westwood location of Berry Nutty at 10877 Weyburn Avenue is forthcoming at the end of this month or in early June, reps say.
