This popular cafe fills the void between fast food, chain restaurants and the sceney, pricey destinations for burgers. You can build your own or order a house special. Choose from sirloin angus beef, turkey, ahi tuna or a homemade organic vegetarian burger. Then choose it slider size or standard issue. Top it with your choice of cheese, veggies and sauce. Most diners actually choose the simpler route and opt for the house creations, ranging from an apple wood bacon and chipotle cheddar beef burger to turkey with shitake mushrooms. Alternatives to burgers include a crab cake sandwich, tarragon chicken and tomato panini, salads and soups. Parmesan and herb fries or macaroni and cheese are among the side dishes. Dessert is a daily selection of cupcakes and ice cream sandwiches. The bistro is decorated in the sharp-modern-minimalist vein, with warm wood tables and an open kitchen to watch chef/owner Tony Zervas prepare your food. The area is full of long-standing favorites, including George’s Greek Cafe, Cafe Sevilla, King’s Fish House, Rock Bottom Brewery, the Madison and dozens more.
Tips: There are some goodies not printed on the menu but available by request, such as special burgers of the day, kept on the down-low for insiders only.
