Thursday, November 26

(6 a.m., Nov. 26) Be careful not to gobble up the competition! Doheny State Beach hosts a special Turkey Day 5K/10K walk/run/jog in the name of charity. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m., while the race itself kicks off at 7 a.m. Trust us, you're gonna need the exercise to put away all that food during the football game.

Friday, November 27 to Sunday, December 13

Enter the winter wonderland of the annual Sawdust Winter Fantasy held over four weekends in November and December. Over 175 artists and craftspeople from all over the country will display hand blown glass, ceramics, clothing, ornaments, jewelry, painting, sculpture and more. There are also art projects, a real snow play field, holiday entertainment, three outdoor cafés and daily visits with Santa. A new tradition is the ArtisTree Ornament Fundraiser that benefits the Sawdust Art Education Fund and features one-of-a-kind ornaments created by artists.

Visit the California coastline for the annual Monarch beach tree lighting and sand sculpture dedication. The Mistress of ceremonies wilol be Orange County's own Jamie Gwen of KFWB News Talk 980.
