Miceli's

Miceli's was established in 1949 by Carmen Miceli, who still prowls the premises, schmoozing and drinking with his customers. Red-checkered cloth drapes over the tables and empty wine bottles hang along the bar signed by happy patrons. Your waiter not only serves you with grace -- at some point during the meal he may mosey on over to the grand piano and belt out an aria or show tune accompanied by the pianist. Italian-American dishes by way of Sicily make up the menu and include pizza, pasta and specialties such as Veal Scaloppini Miceli and Spaghetti Caruso (chicken livers sautéed with onions and garlic). Great for families and groups, or for those simply seeking the festive, Miceli's is a fun, casual alternative to Bella Cucina Italiana just up the street.
