Michel Richard brings his famed Citrus restaurant concept back to L.A. inside chic Social Hollywood. The food is California French and defined by unexpected and exquisite presentation. The restaurant, which has an entrance separate from the nightlife venue, occupies the dining room area of the former Hollywood Athletic Club and Social's owners brought in a restoration team to uncover the original 1920s vaulted ceilings and frescoes. Elegant, fiery amber globe lights hang over fancy-set tables with swank mint green chairs. A bar and a large fireplace also occupy the sprawling space.
Since opening chef de cuisine Rémi Lauvand has moved on and the menu has been made more casual.

First time in years that all three courses blew my mind. "Begula"--Are you kidding me? Spectacular. "Duck, Duck, Orange"? Best duck I've had in many moons. "Orange Souffle" (sic?)? Mesmerizingly sublime. Oh and our server was a real sweetheart, too. I will return as frequently as I am able.

terrible. we had an event there and everything could not have been more horribly run. the bouncers were rude (one called someone a "retard" when the crowd...
Wow...I didn't even know this was a restaurant and I swear I was sober when I got there :) I went on a Friday night and there were no dinner tables in...
