Know something we don't?
Named after a section in lower Manhattan, this small, narrow bar and bistro caters to upscale Hollywood hipsters who can appreciate a delicious $12 burger with the works. And what a burger it is: perfectly grilled sirloin on a toasted English muffin with grilled onions, sautéed mushrooms, bacon and cheese. Other offerings range from upgraded versions of American classics (French dips made with chicken breast and steak sandwiches) to downgraded versions of European classics (moulle frites and charcuterie platters). Inside, tiled walls evoking the New York City subway are softened by subdued lighting and the coziness of the space. Created by owner George Abou-Daoud as a New York-style bar and bistro in Los Angeles, Bowery resides in the small corridor of eateries on Sunset that includes Fabiolus Café and Magnolia.

This place is going to make me fat..or a drunk. Maybe both. I really don't have great luck, that being said...I had a great experience with every member...

Oh I was here maybe 3-years ago. That time, I was meeting a gaggle of girls at the bar. I walked in and they had obviously been there for at least one...

Nice small, low key place for a drink and the best sirloin burger in town. Friendly and fast. Attractive young crowd.
