Tucked behind Sharky’s in the Cahuenga Corridor is Sugar, one of the fading Hollywood megaclubs out to lure area scenesters and club kids. Formerly XES, the space is certainly large enough to host a formidable party; it debuted by hosting US Weekly’s Hot Hollywood event, but that was ages agao and the club has fallen on hard times (and A-list stars accordingly stay away).
That said, good times can still be had here. Clubgoers in their best True Religion jeans, miniskirts and embellished T-shirts swarm the three bars, dancefloor and VIP areas every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night looking for love. If you need to take a breather from the masses, a back room with its own bar, as well as an outdoor smoking patio, is available. Apparently the walls are made with lacquered rock candy, which probably won’t taste as sweet as they look.

empire is very small. there isnt much place to dance. the seats are lined up by the wall and there are 2 small bars, one on each side. they had gogo dancers...
