About
Despite its name, this recently opened bakery seems more like a cross between a panaderia and a Starbucks than an authentic West Indian bakery. Antigua Bread offers a standard assortment of American baked goods (muffins, coffee cake, cookies) with a few touches from south of the border (guava and cheese pastries, cochitos). The lunch and dinner offerings run the gamut from tuna melts and smoked turkey sandwiches to beef stroganoff and BLTs. Breakfast options include chorizo burritos, ham and egg sandwiches, chilaquiles and the Antigua breakfast: three eggs with refried black beans, plantains with crema, salsa and tortillas.
