Know something we don't?
This no-frills watering hole was best known for its wacky memorabilia, like the sign that reads "Watching the Bullwinkle Show Helps Fight Communism" or the license plates from places as faraway as North Dakota that cover the ceilings and the walls. And until just over a year ago, the old-time Hermosa Beach bar was known for its limited drink selection--Budweiser was the only thing served for 46 years. But all that's changed.
Now there are a few more brews on tap and even wine. Most of the decor is from the customers who have graced this fabulous hole-in-the-wall since it first opened nearly 50 years ago. Located off the beaten path from trendy downtown Hermosa, the Pitcher House is a neighborhood pub that attracts patrons from lots of different neighborhoods. It's a tavern where jeans, a T-shirt and flip flops are standard attire, where the line for the pool table is never too long and where there's always room for more memorabilia.
