Shin-Sen-Gumi

If you are searching for the best yakitori in Los Angeles, run, don’t walk, to Shin Sen Gumi’s Yakitori.  Located in an otherwise nondescript strip mall, this small-ish destination is as authentic as it gets.  If you want to get a feel for what a real Tokyo restaurant feels like, take a seat at the yakitori bar and start ordering up a storm.  You simply can’t go wrong here.  Beef, pork (try the intestine), vegetables and seafood—all charcoal grilled and on skewers, melt in your mouth.  Patrons can choose either salt or teriyaki sauce flavor, and the atmosphere is warm and lively.  The best part?  Prices are dirt cheap.  From the Cherry tomato wrapped in bacon ($2.50) to the excellent Chicken breast with Wasabi ($1.95), you simply can’t lose at Shin Sen Gumi’s Gardena Yakitoria.
