Know something we don't?
Inside the Farmer's Daughter Hotel, Tart brings a little bit of country into the heart of the Fairfax district. Breakfast is the specialty here with its hearty menu of omelets, scrambles and pancakes. Lunch and dinner is filled with comfort food favorites: burgers, a four-cheese melt, meatloaf and spare ribs. Ingredients are fresh and brought in straight from the Farmer's Market, which isn't surprising since it's right across the street. And the proximity to The Grove makes it an ideal spot to go before or after shopping or a movie, especially since you won’t find lines like at Du-Par's or Morels. Most agree the cute courtyard is where it’s at, and the overall feel is rustic, cheerful and quaint, but in a polished, upscale kind of way. There is a handful of wines by the glass and bottles to choose from – and the big bar serves up a popular lemon berry martini and morning-after Bloody Marys.
