Know something we don't?
This late 2007 addition to the 3rd st. restaurant row near the Beverly Center has filled a badly-need void for comfort food in the neighborhood. Looking for great mac & cheese or just a simple chicken club sandwich? Then Food Court L.A. is your bag, baby. Laid back service and a warm decor here all conspire to offer up a great alternative to some of the stodgier options on 3rd street. And it is mercifully lless crowded at Food Court, making this a better choice for a date than restaurants like Izakaya or Toast on 3rd St. Fans of Food Court swear by the Latchino Steak (latin-asian style with garlic, cilantro and chiles) and the burgers here. But the sweets are what we really like at Food Court. Try the pomegranate float or the decidedly decadent chocolate banana caramel bread pudding. Or, for the truly adventurous (or perhaps stoned?) munch on peanut butter, strawberry jam and banana spring rolls.
UPDATE: Food Court LA closed in June of 2008. The Guide will keep you posted what goes into the space.
