From the Cold War Kids to Kinky, the 28th Annual Sunset Junction Street Festival promises no shortage of musical eclecticism. Though it's somehow always held on the hottest weekend of the year, this East side street fair gives the asymmetrical haircut crowd a chance to experience community based on the shared joys of bacon-wrapped hotdogs, liquidas and three stages of live music. Plus there's the annual line-up of arts, games and merchant booths.
Parking in the adjacent neighborhoods is always a nightmare. Recommendation: park at Los Angeles City College and hop on a shuttle, or bicycle to the fair and lock up your bike at special racks that will be set up at 3700 Sunset Blvd.
