About
C. Thi Nguyen, Chow Digest Editor at Chowhound.com, leads a panel discussion about the joys of carne asada and the L.A. County Board of Supervisors' controversial plan to increase fines for taco trucks. One of Los Angeles' great cultural institutions, taco trucks could soon be a thing of the past is Supervisor Gloria Molina ha her way. She and her fellow Supervisors recently passed new regulations affecting taco trucks in unincorporated parts of Los Angeles, which includes much of East L.A. If the trucks don't move every hour, they face $1000 in fines and/or six months in jail. Nguyen is joined by Pulitzer Prize winning food writer Jonathan Gold, Barry Glassner, author of "The Gospel of Food" and Chris Rutherford, co-founder of saveourtacotrucks.org to discuss the future and the history of taco trucks.
