Located in the heart of the Grove shopping complex, this sprawling Barnes & Noble location is never short on foot traffic. Three stories of books, CD's, DVD's and magazines make it a multi-media entertainment center for the whole family. Wandering the aisles can be hectic, depending on the size of the shopping crowd, but there are plenty of tucked away little spots where customers can pause for a while and peruse their possible purchases. A variety of author appearances fill out the event schedule.
A full selection of entertainment and dinig options are nearby for hungry shoppers, including the highly-recommended Maggiano's Little Italy (which frequently hosts live music in the evening) and Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill, famed for their "smashed" potatoes. And don't forget the Original Farmer's Market right next door, where casual eating and shopping is king.
Tips: This being the entertainment capital of the world, to paraphrase a local radio station, it's no surprise that the Grove's Barnes & Noble location contains a vast selection of film reference, including screenplays, histories and poster art compilations, to name a scant few. Check out the wall's worth of entertainment titles, located on the second floor to the right of the escalators.
