Know something we don't?
They say nobody walks in L.A. Prove the doubters wrong at the 3rd annual Great Los Angeles Walk. Every year, Franklin Avenue blogger Michael Schneider picks a prominent thoroughfare – he’s already done Pico and Wilshire boulevards – and leads a group of intrepid souls on a hike from end to end. This year, the walk will span Santa Monica Blvd. with a Cesar Chavez/Sunset Blvd. detour at the start. The walk begins at 9 a.m. at Union Station (800 N. Alameda St.) and ends at the Santa Monica beach followed by an after-party at the Britannia Pub starting at around 6 p.m.
Too busy to join the walk? Keep abreast of their progress via the Walk's Twitter feed. Schneider will be posting updates at every mile.
