Know something we don't?
If decorless was a word, it would be used to describe Sushi Hirosuke. A somewhat drab looking strip-mall sushi joint with a never-ending sushi bar (it’s a 25-seater!), the plain interior certainly does not stop the hoards of people from frequenting this Encino restaurant nightly. The locals know that the sushi, and not the interior, is the real story here. With a multitude of chefs behind the sushi bar, you’ll get your food and you’ll get it fast. Owner Hiro may even make your “OMG roll” (Oh-My-God!) himself. Get cozy in one of the booths for a little more privacy – but wherever you sit, come hungry. Portions are famously huge and the fish is consistently fresh. Family friendly and an all-around happy place with fantastic service, Sushi Hirosuke doesn’t take reservations; go before 7 p.m. to avoid a wait.
