Follow a cascading art deco chandelier down a flight of stairs to the Edison, a turn-of-the-century boiler room turned swanky nightlife Mecca. Located in the basement of the historic Higgins Building, the Edison features original boiler room fixtures like enormous metal machinery mixed with sleek leather couches and glass tabletops. The female wait staff wears spangled flapper-style gowns, and they aren’t the only ones who are dressed up. Be forewarned: There is a strictly enforced dress code.
