L.A. bars celebrating "Repeal Day"

Know something we don't?
When entrepreneur Cedd Moses (of Broadway Bar and Seven Grand fame) opened the Golden Gopher in 2004, it seems he took stock of downtown’s nightlife scene and decided to up the ante. The Golden Gopher mixes industrial chic -- high ceilings, exposed brick walls and loft-like windows -- with more refined elements such as baroque wallpaper, brass sconces and a heavy wooden bar that draws everyone from the business casual crowd to the loft-dwellers. The Golden Gopher has all the things that matter: A legendary jukebox with picks from Johnny Cash to the Pixies, ’80s era video games including Ms. Pac Man and Centipede, an outdoor smoking lounge complete with bed-like couches and a selection of top-shelf liquor that can be purchased “to go” thanks to a still-valid liquor license from 1905.
No dress code and no requirement to be part of a clique. Come as you are, pretty chill and does the job of making you feel at home. Love the selection on the jukebox
