Know something we don't?
Follow a cascading art deco chandelier down a flight of stairs to the Edison, a turn-of-the-century boiler room turned swanky nightlife Mecca. Located in the basement of the historic Higgins Building, the Edison features original boiler room fixtures like enormous metal machinery mixed with sleek leather couches and glass tabletops. The result manages to evoke the grit of the Industrial Revolution with a dose of ’20s-era glamour. A well-stocked bar serves up beer, wine and mixed drinks, while the kitchen turns out everything from fries to oysters. The female wait staff wears spangled flapper-style gowns, and they aren’t the only ones who are dressed up. Be forewarned: There is a strictly enforced dress code.

This bar has a good selection of beers, a really nice ambience and friendly wait staff. I like the layout, its located 2 stories underground and has a central atrium and some more private rooms. We have made this our regular Friday night hangout.
